Digital print (Print on Demand)PuzzleFlow Print On Demand is a completely new solution perfect for small digital printing houses, where ease of use and speed of handling is of high importance. PuzzleFlow PoD contains a web portal where customers’ orders are received and an executive module prepares the documents for print. Acquisition of the data comprises initial verification of submitted files, which helps to warn the users about problems detected at an early stage and ensures that the final result will meet their expectations. The next stage takes place automatically and customers can check on the progress of their orders themselves. The documents are turned into printer’s spreads (if needed) almost immediately. Next, color conversion is made, geometry of pages checked and indispensable prepress corrections are introduced. Offset printPuzzleFlow is likely to improve work organisation in printing houses which use offset technology. It offers the whole range of tools applied for imposition. Step and repeat imposition is a group of advanced nested and chained signatures. You need just a few seconds to prepare a brochure in a configured system. Place-It, a program dealing with manual imposition, is perfect for printing labels and wrappings/boxes for packaging work, whereas, in the case of posters and large-format prints, Tiler appears to be an ideal tool. It can divide large sheets into smaller parts, which can be printed on typical machines. No matter which technology (CtF or CtP) is used, a proper work preparation for any imagesetter requires a set of tools enabling professional color management. Our system offers a whole range of such modules including color management system based on ICC profiles, a tool used for spot color mapping, modules for color separation and recombination and selective adjustment of multiple rip parameters. PuzzleFlow may be used for handling the productions of proofs. You can generate a softproof or print the processed document at any stage. The system also offers specialized modules, such as the one enabling the display of double-sided proofs on-screen or the one dealing with displaying and correcting / adjusting the geometry of pages. Flexographic printPuzzleFlow Place-It is a perfect solution for flexographic prepress, where applications dealing with manual imposition play an essential role. Apart from convenient tools used for arranging the work on a sheet, the latest version of Place-It gives you an opportunity to import and export the layout pattern of packaging work from CAD applications (CFF format). Thanks to our trapping option, the careless matching of print forms will not affect the print correctness. The function of spot color mapping is especially useful in flexographic production. Thanks to this module, you may remove extra colors (e.g. die line colors) and modify the parameters of the remaining ones. Amongst our other modules you may also find Color Manager and Toolbox very useful as well, the latter used for automatic correction of typical technological prepress (overprints, smooth shades, inline images, knockouts, rich-blacks, etc...) problems. Cooperation with MIS systems and work organizationAs much emphasis has recently been put on the possibility of job tracking at any stage of production, the latest versions of applications within PuzzleFlow have been organized with special attention to this fact. This has resulted in transferring the users’ interface to a web platform and now the production process can be controlled from almost any place around the world. The introduction of the JDF standard created new opportunities for integrating with MIS systems available on the market. Thanks to combining standard prepress activities with logistic and business support, machine stoppage time may be minimized and thus the printing house production potential may be increased. |
